Why does my 1991 Honda Accord SE fuel injection get poor gas mileage?

Why does my 1991 Honda Accord SE fuel injection get poor gas mileage? Before we moved to Southern California from Northern California we were getting over 300 miles a tank, and now we're getting barely over 200 miles a tank. What could be the problem?
