I have a second generation iPod nano and it just irks me when iTunes automatically resets my play count. Whenever I connect my iPod to my computer, the play count for all of my songs are often blank even though I had played them. I know my iPod is capable of recording the play count as the play count may appear the first time I connect it, but usually not the next time. This happens to other iPods connected to my computer, so I'm sure it's either my computer or iTunes.
So really, I'm looking for a fix so that iTunes won't mess with the play count. Ever.
