Why does it seem that whenever you go into a bookstore......?

it takes a while to find a really good book in the YA Section?? It seems that the YA Section is packed with books with no depth. For example: The Clique Series, Gossip Girl, The Twilight "Saga" (if you can even call it a saga), ect
 
because good books dont get popular enough

i wish some one would bring up Gregory Maguire or Libba Bray or Wally Lamb, or some one who can actaully write

not some auther who only writes about hot guys
 
cause i believe that boys are less likely to read over girls and so they pack with books for the teenage girl to read
