Why does he write novel about us?

He used to write me over 30 poems. We cannot be together because we are in different countries and not get along very well. Recently, I found he wrote novel about us.

P.S. We did not see/talk with each other for 2 years. Last time, we had a big argument and I decided to move to foreign country. He dated other women for 7 months, but he did not write anything about her.
