Why does he rush through sex?

I'm sorry if this is too much detail, but i'm really confused....i'm embarassed to write this, but i need to know...

My boyfriend and i have been off and on for over a year. I recently lost my virginity to him. I've never had sex before (obviously), so i'm no expert, so i'm not sure what to think.

He rushes it! I've always been hesitant about having sex, that's why i waited so long. It almost feels like he thinks i'm gonna tell him no, so he rushes it. There is kind of a lack of communication in this area, but i have asked him and he doesn't answer..then one time told me he doesn't want to get too attached...wtf! He doesn't even take my shirt or bra off, and sometimes doesn't even bother taking my thong off. Sex itself lasts about 5-10 min. (usually not even 10). It just starts to feel good...then he's done! He focues on me during foreplay, and he even says sex can last for hours...so why doesn't he make it last that long? I know he's turned on by me, because he's pretty much ready as soon as we start kissing. He tells me i drive him crazy...so what the heck is the problem? Like i said, we are off and on, so we don't always do it consistantly, so i'm still tight alot of time...would this have anything to do with it?

What can i say to him...and why does he do this?

My advice is to take control. Tell him what you want, what feels good, "don't stop", and that you also want it slow. Get on top so you can control how fast or slow it is. Try different positions maybe one of them will be less sensitive for him. If he keeps finishing too early tell him you want him to try harder to hold it. Tell him you want him to give you an "O". You have to communicate your feelings to him (no matter how uncomfortable he is, find a way to make him open up) or you'll never get what you want in bed. You just have to make sure you tell him (in a way he won't get offended) that it's good now, but you want it to be great for BOTH of you. Tell him if he really cares for you then he should want you to be satisfied too.

Don't take any excuses, guys CAN hold it, be a little selfish, and get what you want!!

Sounds to me that he's more concerned with meeting his sexual needs than he is with meeting yours.
