...the data rate? I've got a Blu Ray Disc that I've transferred to a hard disc on my server that I want to play on the Media Player that's attached to my television. I had been using a powerline adaptor that was rated at 85mbps. I've since cut that out of the equation, with a proper network cable running between my Gigabit switch and my server and media player (although I'm not getting the benefit of the Gigabit switch, as my network card's only 100Mbps).
Anyway, regardless, the file should surely play, shouldn't it? If I understand correctly, Blu Ray video is delivered at a maximum of 54mbps, isn't it?
Why, then, is my video stuttering when it's only using a little over half of the network's capacity? I'm stumped!
For what it's worth, I've shut down all other network traffic in an effort to get the video playing... to no avail.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Chris
