Why does flash video play so slowly/stop and start on my laptop? It's a

good-spec machine, only a year old?!? If I play a youtube video, or a flash game, the images run really slowly - how can I make them run at their proper speed?
 
My first thought:

This may be an issue with your cache.

Your cache is a deposit for all of the temporarily downloaded files onto your PC which allows content to run smootly, rather than constantly streaming the content it pulls it directly from your PC.

Depending on which browser you use, how to check your available cache size varies. Try to increase your cache size.

This is all assuming that you have a good internet connection that is relatively fast.
 
It has to do with your connection speed, and the type of connection. Cable is faster to download than DSL. Also What time of day plays a roll, If you are trying to watch videos at a peak time of day when every other swinging Richard it trying to access the internet then download speeds will be slower.
