Why does everyone like rap so much?

who's everyone? edit-It's ok...but I don't like many of the songs because 98% of them have the same theme "Money & Hoes"...But there are some rap artists that express originality.

Many people just have poor taste. Rap is just a monotonous drone, not real music that has variation and subtlety. Rap gives me a headache. Much of it has lyrics about killing cops and beating women. That should be banned.
