Why does every website have javascript in their source code even if the website

extension is aspx or php? Ok everytime I go to a website and look at the source code I always see something like <script type="text/javascript" even if the site has a aspx or php extension
i also see javascript text and stuff and this is for mostly EVERY website i see...PLEASE HELP
