Why does Clarence Mitchell always have to make Grand announcements about the...

...McCanns plans ..........? instead why dont they just get on with it?

With news they may head back to Portugal for the 1st anniversary of Madeleines disappearance, Clarence has been earning his £75k a year salary by announcing they might go back.

Is this supposed to send out a message to the Portugese police? If it does, it simply gives them a month to line up the questions as soon as they get off their Easyjet flight.

But instead of Clarence creating the 'will they, wont they' game, why dont the McCanns just not make any announcement and then just bloody well do it.

Also why wait until the 1st anniversary? Why is it always about milestones with this couple? First it was marking 50 days .........then 100 days .......... now the 1st anniversary. Does this mean if shes not found in early May, Madeleine will have to wait another year before her parents make a bit of a token effort for her?

well if he didn't make the grand announcements there would be chance no matter how small you might miss the latest installment that is the mccann saga and then WHAT would you do with your life ! lol x
 
I always though the Clarence Mitchell was paid to be their spokesman, so that's just what he is doing. Hardly surprising don't you think. ?

They are only interested in one thing.... that is to rid themselves of the "official suspects" label. Quite rightly... the Portuguese police will do no such thing unless they are given a reason to lift that status----answer the bloody questions and stop hiding behind the skirts of British government. Any Police force worth its salt would only do what the Portuguese Police have been doing whether the McCanns are English, Chinese, Mongols or Martians. It is a legal system that is at stake. They want their credibility saved at the cost of the Portuguese Police's credibility ? Boy are they deluded.

To be honest, I am fed up of hearing about all of it.
There are other kids missing in the world.
 
"Before they make a token effort for her"? Why change their habits now Dave? They weren't so hot in looking for her before - unlike thousands of other people - so unless there's some dosh on the horizon, no chance!
 
Clarence Mitchell is honestly not the brightest. But he is their spokesman and that's his JOB - to announce what they are or aren't doing.
 
SOME people are interested to know what the McCanns will be doing. That's why he does it. They do have a lot of support, especially now after the Apology from The Express Group.
People have changed their minds about them, and very soon, more people will have changed their minds.
The Portuguese Police are coming to England to clarify statements and clear The McCanns of any involvement in the disappearance of their daughter.

Perhaps then, someone will get on with the real job. Finding the child. Dead or Alive. She needs finding.
