Don''t take this the wrong way, I myself am American. It's just this, I was watching the news in the morning, and while they did cover what happened in Haiti, they did so very lightly. Later this evening, my mom was watching the news from Mexico, and they really went into the subject. You could see the streets littered with bodies, the suffering of these individuals, they really let you know what's going on so that it doesn't just feel like something on TV, it feels real.
Why can't the American news air things that matter, we spend far too much time going over useless information, what this celebrity did, what the latest trend is here and there, topics that are controversial but don't really matter as much as a national catastrophe.
