Every couple of miles. No rhyme or reason,no sputtering, uphill, downhill, hot, cold, just stalls,no check engine lights. It will idle all day,no misses.Has to be caught "in the act" to diagnose, but only happens when driving. Here's what i have been told it may be:
1984 Buick Skylark 4 cyl.,2.5 fuel injected
Torque control converter (Major transmission place said this isn't the problem since there is no jerking/lunging).
Lock-Up converter sensor boost forced induction map sensor
Crank Angle Sensor
Ignition Control Module
Gas filter
Was told that something is getting hot.Great, but what?I can't afford 100.00 for diagnostics that may not even tell me what the problem is,since it has to be caught 'in the act' to diagnose correctly!Any help is greatly appreciated. Is the problem(s)listed above,or is it something else? Also would like a ballpark figure to repair.Thanks.
