Why do young african american men claim to hate the environment they live in?

Then get it tatooed on their bodies, make gangs to protect it, develop hand signs to show their pride for it, rap about loving it, etc. I don't get it....

as a black man I must agree with you but enlighten you as well,black people as a whole are schemed against by unseen forces that you may not believe,J EDGAR HOOVER started it off and it is still going on,everything my people do the white man has to get his cut,everything we have gets assimilated into every other culture and exploited.Turn on the tv and so many commercials are using rap lyrics trying to sell their merchandise,we do not hate our environment we hate the fact that we can't get jobs, good education,treated fairly by the cops,decent homes or apartments,do not think we want hand outs,we will work for ours,it's when you are denied these things that you must do what you must in order to survive,this country was founded by criminals thrown out of England,WHITE crooks,so do not say we make gangs when all we are doing is trying to make a buck,we you for jobs,you turn us away,we ask for good schools for our kids,we get teachers who only want a paycheck and are not doing their jobs properly and our kids are being taught lies instead of the truth,your history is not my history so why keep telling my children to study about Christopher Columbus who did not discover America but telling them he did?this nation is a nation of white men who control everything and will not allow no other race of people get ahead of them,they will keep the blacks and any other person of color down until those same people take what they truly deserve,respect and fair treatment.AS FOR THOSE LIVING FOUL AND DOING ALL KINDS OF B.S. must u be an idiot and use sean hannity's face!!! of course u r generalizing and have probably been reared in your "perfect" white majority home, but...............this is certainly not relevant to all or even most young african american men and to the ones that it does apply, i am sure much of it can be attributed to survival. maybe u should stick to conversations and questions with your mother and father. u will be safer there and can hate as u please without recourse.

1. I do not believe that is true of every single black American
2. many are being treated in a bad way, discriminated against; black people are disproportinally unemployed, imprisoned (esp. drug using, although white people use far more drugs accord. to surveys) and impoverished and disproportionally live in bad housing and disproportionally have low-paid jobs
