Why do you think one university's enrollment surged when there is economic

crisis or hardships? Well our teacher asked us about this...Our university, modesty aside, is the most prestigious and the best school in town..Unlike any other university in the city our enrollment surge every year ...So I just want to ask your opinion about this...What could be a plausible ECONOMIC reason why our university's enrollment surged despite economic hardships? Mind you the enrollment is increasing every year even if there is a tuition fee increase while the other universities decrease..
 
Well, a bad economy means people are losing jobs, or are having hard times looking for a job.

Going to school is a good way of investing in your one's human capital, making one more attractive in the job market.

Basically, people feel the need for higher education to be more competitive candidates for jobs.
