Why do you think God put the tree of knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden?

God created Adam and Eve (and he knws everything), so he knew that they were going to fall for the "serpent", right? why would he allow the tree in the garden in the first place? it has nothing to do with free will and testing them. God intended for his creation to be perfect, but they clearly were not, otherwise they would not have been so dumb as to fall for the devils tricks.

but my main question is---why would he allow the tree in the garden in the first place and then blame them for eating from it???

Genesis 2:9 proves it was a test. This means Satan doesn't exist according to the ancient Hebrews and that the serpent stood for something else. It was Yahweh's common sense test. You either listen or you don't.
