Either by belonging to an organized religion, or through alternative means.
I currently cannot afford either. Some may say my priorities are off, but I believe that enlightenment would be better through self organized groups where everyone contributes time and effort. I don't understand the emphasis on money. I was raised Catholic and am horrified by a letter that I received guilting me into tithing...10%, I cannot afford that.
What do you think about "paying" for enlightenment? I use the word "englightenment" very broadly, however a specific religious group defines it.
I'm suggesting that all the things the money goes towards ..nice buildings, counseling, fancy art...is not necessary
I actively contribute by volunteering at charities..that is the charity I can afford..contributing my time. But $ does not equal God.
