I seem to have Freddie on the brain today...
Also, do you have an interesting fact relating to him?

Mine would have to be that I live about 10 mins walk away from his old house where his parents still live (they may have moved, I'm not too sure...) :-D

Ok, go...
Way overrated? Yeah, just get out.
Now.
He was gay? Seriously?
Do you know, I never knew that...
I guess I'm going to go ahead and burn all my Freddie paraphernalia now I know he's GAY.

...idiot.

FM, was one of the most talented vocalists ever recorded, or ever lived. The man was an instrument of music.

basically i would like to say thanks to fm for the "highlander" soundtrack...made a sweet film even sweeter...

I think he was a great performer. His voice was absolutely brilliant and unique. And he wasn't afraid to be the person he was.

I appreciate some of his music but I think he is way over rated. Early deaths make legends out of good performers. I'm not putting him down. I wonder how many thumbs down I'll recieve on this one.

The very first band I ever followed. I saw the first performance of Seven Seas of Rhye then later Killer Queen live. I was very impressed by Freddie’s voice, his fashion style; he would always be in either black or white. Those days it was seen as Glam and fashionable and image was imperative to your success. Even his hair style became a fashion craze and the way he would use the Mic raising it up become symbolic and a trade mark.
I was also lucky to watch the live performances at the Old Grey Whistle test. Of course with the onset of Bohemian Rhapsody it just made Queen a huge overnight success.
I was poor kid then and had to save my pocket money to buy the Queen records. I was also one of the very first members of the Official Queen fan Club.
I assume that you live in Feltham Middlesex, but I know that family moved to Nottingham.
I could write an entire book on this topic but I think i will stop there.

Interesting fact: He would meet Princess Diana for late night dinner and they often confided in other, they were neighbours. (He was bisexual. He was very unhappy, mainly drugs related) He also had a girlfriend called Barbara Valentin, but he had dated many other women also.

Because he was so awesome when he performed in a live concert and his music videos were awesome. During concerts he would throw the microphone around, change into different outfits, sing warmup songs with the crowd and sometimes even get drunk.

he is probably the greatest vocalist to ever live, an amazing song writer and a great person. freddie really had alot to offer the world he was an amazing preformer and someone who was a joy to listen to.

Oh boy.

His love for music, and entertaining people. The perfection he demanded not only of himself, but his fellow band mates when it came time to make an album. The incredible loyalty he had to his friends and family. That one of a kind voice, and the charisma on stage that no one else can ever reproduce. The incredible measures he went to to keep his personal life and his family's personal lives out of the limelight. But most of all, his passion for music. The fact that he could care less if he was singing to millions or simply 10, he would still give all he had into that performance.

Ok. For a fact?

Freddie was the godfather of Mary Austin's child.

To me he was beautiful...

I remember watching an interview, Barbra Walters I think. He was a very lonely man very sad, when she asked what he wanted out of life he replied, 'All I've ever wanted was someone to Love me......
Whew

His Charisma, his voice, his charm, his stage presence, his songwriting abilities, his bravado, his passion for music.
