why do women think its fine to wear bikinis outdoors but not bra and knickers?!?

im a girl but i still cant figure it out for myself lol
sometimes bikinis show even more flesh than underwear tbh! :S

HAHA UR RIGHT!! In the summer I always wear a bathing suit in my front yard or something but I would never do that in bra and underwear. That's a REALLY good question!!
 
its more of a social standards thing I think..

If someone see's a girl outside in the bikini they think "oh shes getting a tan"

If someone see's a girl in their undies they think "what trash" or "why doesn't she put her clothes on"

its because we were raised thinking that we shouldn't show our underwear to other people i guess.

Who knows..
 
I think it might be because it is more 'acceptable' to be seen in public wearing a bikini because it's designed to be worn on the beach or at the pool, in front of other people.

Underwear is used, obviously, to be worn underneath the clothes and it isn't a normal occurrence for any member of the public to see you in your underwear, so girl's feel less comfortable wearing it in front of people.

It seems a bit silly as they all show the same, but it's just what each one was designed to do that makes the difference, in my opinion.
