why do women take ovulation tests?

I would think they take the test to find out when they are ovulating.. but I'm not sure why becuase when I was trying to get preggos I was so worried about I didn't get Pregnant..then when I stopped I did!!
 
A fertility test tell you if you are fertile and can have babies. And ovulation test tells you when you will ovulate because that it when you get pregnant, when you ovulate.

A woman has a greater chance of getting pregnant when she is ovulating rather than when she is not (although it happens all the time)
