Why do women complain about the toilet seat being up?

Its common sense to look at how the toilet seat is before you sit if its up put it down. When guys see it down we put it up. i know girls say that at like 3 in the morning they dont always look but if both seats are down and we go to the bathroom at 3 we make sure it goes up so we don't pee all over the top
 
You know...idk!
All they have to do is put the freakin seat down...
Ladies say it's common courtesy or it's the right thing to do or it's good manners.
But which lady have you seen after using the toilet, leaving the seat up for the guy?...
Like I said put the freakin seat down, it takes a fraction of a second.
It's not a big deal ladies!
 
Because in the middle of the night when we are tired and need to pee, half awake with a headache,and you cant turn on the light because everyone is sleeping and you don't want to wake them up the last thing we think about is weather the toilet is up or down, and then when we sit down, we fall in. Its common sense to put it down.
 
Sure, but you guys stand up. We have to sit down. We encounter the pee with our butts, you guys don't. Therefore even in 3 in the morning we have to sit, and you guys stand up. Therefore you guys aren't affected, we are.
 
1. It's unsightly.
2. It's unsanitary. If you flush the toilet with the lid up, little poo poo and pee pee vapors fly all over the bathroom, onto your toothbrush and stuff.
3. Most toilet use happens with the seat down. 100% of woman use, and at least 1/3 of man use.
4. The cat tries to drink out of the toilet when the lid is up.
