Why do Toyota Supra cost so much?

Like the title said....

N/A Supra are still around $9000 - $25,000

Turbo Supra are like freaken $15,000 - $35,000

And Twin Turbo's go for like $35,000 - $90,000


So why are the 93-98 Toyota Supra so Expensive?

Even the old ones go for like $5000 and up!

WTF?

And does the insurance cost a lot? (it's a old car?!?!)
 
Supras cost so much because of their hype in movies such as the Fast and the Furious, and their superior racing potential. Not only are they recongizable almost anywhere, the parts are sky high expensive from Toyota, and are very good parts. The body style is hard to come by, and even harder to keep. Add this to it being discontinued, and you've got a 35k+ car,easy. Trust me, it's well worth it. The looks you will get and the fun you will have in the car eclipse the memory of the price.
 
All Toyotas hold strong value. You aretalking about their top of the line sports car---look what they sold for new and you will realize the prices are in line. same thing goes for the Vettes. If you are young this car may be more expensive then a non-sports car. The insurance company would be the only one that could answer, Just get quotes for three different types of cars. sporty-economical-and something between and compare
