crap put out today? I can't think of a single shot of a dinosaur in Jurassic Park that made me think, "That's CGI" when 99% of CGI in movies put out today is so obvious it takes me out of the movie. Also, why aren't animatronics used anymore?

Even the Pirates of the Caribbean series "groundbreaking" computer effects are lame compared to Jurassic Park.
Maybe you should be doing real research instead of going to Wikipedia. I watched The Making of Jurassic Park hosted by James Earl Jones around 1994 and have been in love with the movie since it came out. I even mentioned animatronics in my question genius. Also, Transformers 2 does NOT look real. Unless you mean real bad. Michael Bay needs to retire and let a real filmmaker make real movies. Popular for no reason "actor" + explosions is not equal to good movie.

I think that the people who do the CGI nowadays are so concentrated on making stuff look real that they make it look too perfect. In real life nothing's actually that perfect. Almost like the truth is stranger than fiction. lol Of course, I may be a little biased because Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all time so far. ^^
