Does god really give 2 s**ts about football, auto racing, basketball, et al and wouldn't that be the acme of cheating anyway?
This assumes, of course, the existence of god. Still, I get cranked when I hear "I want to thank the lord for blessing the coaching staff." This is tantamount to thanking the lord for the numerous injuries suffered by the opposing team.
It's just irritating.
