then when they get sent to fight a war they and the parents moan that they shouldn't be fighting etc, or they get surprised when they get injured! duh is that not the risk is about joining the armed forces? it's not a holiday camp so they can see the world.
dave everyone is allowed their own opinion here, rip your head off u dik

What do you do work behind a desk? Or are you a kid of 12 years old?

I hope someone who has been in the army comes on here and rips you to shreads you moron

they are so stupid, they afre fighting so the PM who sent them there will earn a comfortable retirement on the US after dinner speech circuit

Like Barbara says 'some soldiers' are just a few. Parents will moan as most soldiers sent to war are young. They certainly don't want the knock on the front door telling them their son has died at such a young age. I know 2 lads who left school this summer and have joined up for the Army. They are well aware what is expected of them.

One can see where you're coming from. But you are being selective in presenting your argument as a question. The parents are not moaning that their children have to fight and get injured or killed. They are against the fact that our soldiers are dying UNneccessarily because of poor equipment and resources. They are against sending our boys when they are ill-equipped, such as in vehicles that are porrly protected against roadside bombs, or when they have to share bullet-proof vests because they don't have enough of them.

To suggest that our lads join up because they expect a "holiday camp" is to dishonour our brave men who have died. Please apologise.

Please post your address so that we can all discuss this matter over a beer.
