i can tell you now it is no joke what so ever, and any body who thinks it is seriously needs there heads looking at.
there are so many sorts not just one, and no we have not got what you call a PHOBIA. either.
i am writing this on the behalf of anyone who has depression,
we are all human and have feelings just like anybody else,
why! are people only to quick to put us down.
let me say this one for sure, it is not something we want, or like in that matter. nobody would want it. and i can honestly say that for all of us on answers who have it.

how could you even suggest such a thing.

depression doesn't have noticeable physical effects like other illnesses like anorexia. Everyone has "off" days but it is unusual to see someone all the time everyday so you wouldn't notice that they were always having "off" days. Normal people who don't have depression use the espression "i'm so depressed" or whatever so off handedly when they mucked up their diet, had an argument etc. People don't take it seriously. If someone generally does suffer from depression it's just seen as someone making a fuss or wanting sympathy. It seems to people who are ignorant about depression that they don't understand why you can't just go out with a friend and have fun or some people seemingly have a perfect life so people don't understand why they would be sad. Another problem is that it isn't always 24/7 people with depression CAN be happy and some can put on a happy front but people don't see what happens behind closed doors.

It's ignorance hun.............

If they can't see what the problem is then they can't understand it............

Don't let anybody make you feel bad, stay strong and fight.........

Good Luck to you!
