belittling manner? i went to a department store and pajamas and under wear was on sale. i stocked up. when i got to the register the cashier made a snide remark about the combination. also do you experience this? how can they keep their jobs when i see other getting fired over this? i never report it because i feel someone else may. i am curious and really do not care as long as i get the service and get out of there.

You know, that's a dang good question. I don't know what part of the world you live in, maybe the States?

But I live in Romania, and most busyness owners just don't care much about customer services, as long as the clientèle keeps coming back and their profits don't suffer. And that's the situation everywhere, not just one or two stores, restaurants and so on.

As to the reason why, yeah, favoritism could be one. Naturally, Romanian reasons aren't the same as reasons abroad. Here it's just bad manners, weak national identity and social stagnation, and reporting it falls on deaf ears.

But, any busyness owner or supervisor who doesn't care how their colleagues are treating customers either have similar morals, are engaged in nepotism, or are focused on income charts alone, without considering customer services.

What can I tell you, all those reasons are vague, why does it happen at all? You should report it though, every case you come across, never let it go otherwise things never change.

You are the reason they keep[ their jobs, you and everyone like you, if management does not know about this rudeness, how can they fire these people? If you say nothing, then no one will know. You need to either stand upo for yourself or accept the fact that the reason rude people keep their jobs is BECAUSE NO ONE TAKES THE TIME TO REPORT THEM!

Have you never heard of "joking"? The cashier may well have been making a joke with you but you are the type of person who takes everything deadpan serious
