Why do some people judge you by your weight?

What do you think of those people who judge you by your weight? I'm not even THAT fat..I"m chubby and I think sometimes people are too quick to judge...sigh

The people who judge you by your weight are usually precisely the kinds of people you don't want for friends. So don't let 'em bug you. :)

About the same reason people judge you by your height , skin color, age , male female or gay , the clothes you wear, your education , your religion or lack of , your car , your house , your parents or lack of , your hair color , your tattoos , your earrings just to name a few examples. People just seem to put people in categories. I wish you well !

Get over yourself. They are going to judge you by your appearance, good or bad, no matter how the perfect world SHOULD operate. Make the most of what you have, and don't think for a second that you are going to change the world with your whining about how things "should" be.
If you think all of your problems are caused by your weight, then lose it; but then you will find that you have new problems, so learn to live with yourself and the way you are.

Also fat; but happy.

I know the feeling. I'm a bit on the rounder side myself, and some people are stupid enough to believe that since a person is overweight that they're lazy and don't care about their health, which often isn't true. Then the same people assume that overweight people are immoral or bad because they don't fit the skewed notion of what society thinks beautiful is--which according to our shallow society, is sickly, underweight, and emaciated. They don't take into consideration that the overweight person may have a medical problem or may have just had a baby.

A guy I went to college with for a while coincidentally came into a salon I used to work at and actually said to me, "You sure got fat." (Which was true, but it was rude of him to say so.) I simply replied, "I'm deeply sorry I don't look like a wire coat hanger or a heroine addict." Then I proceeded to give him the worst haircut he'd ever received before and probably since.

I said that to say this: People should not insult someone's weight or judge them by their weight because the person/s they insult will get hurt, have control over you in some way (like cutting your hair or being your boss), or may be like me--a vindictive b**** with a good memory. :-D

people judge you about everything

i personally dont understand it,everybody is beautiful- fat skinny freckles spotty

every wrinkle, every mole..there all a unique sign of YOU,noone else can be you.

fxck the haters and live life to the full!

ive cared what people thought- and ended up trying to kill myself at the age of 13,self harmed and had an eating disorder.

now i have pink hair thats to my hips,i look like a freak wear to much makeup and am crazy hyper..and i dont give a damn what people have to say :)

xxx

they have low self esteemss and they say that because if you are skinny or whatever they will be scared that you will look soooo much hotter than they are.. be proud of who you are no matter what<3
if ur happy.. leave everything alonee

I do not like it when that happens. I get judged all the time for being skinny, and I know some people may think that is a good thing or whatever, but no matter what it is...it is just not a good feeling to be judged. I am a naturally healthy eater, and people always think that I am watching my weight, or I'm on a diet or something. I personally think that girls who have a little bit of weight on them are more commendable. I respect them for being who they are and not caring what other people think. I mean you do not have to be skinny to be healthy. I know plenty of skinny people who are really unhealthy, and I know women who are a little bit more voluptuous that are in perfect health.

I think that you should seriously totally ignore all of that crap, because you are going to be the happiest when you are being you. Do not change for anybody...I bet you are beautiful.

Because it's difficult for me to breathe around you people. You're taking up all of my oxygen.

it is hard to breathe,
Primate.
