Why do some people complain about kids asking for help?

in the homework section.
I read many times " do your homework yourself".

Well...isn't it ironic that there is a special category for homework ?
of course ! some kids struggle with their homework. Being rebuffed is not nice really.
lol kiss this...it is true..some do actually want whole dissertations written for them ..

The reason is that some times people do just want their homework done for them. I like to help, but don't answer if there are more than 2 or 3 questions. I think Homework help is a good category, as some students just don't understand things explained in the classroom and do want to understand and I think seeking knowledge is great.

P.S. I have seen non-students ask questions in this area also and I have no problem with that as long as it is for help in gaining knowledge. Use for only a grades sake is an abuse though in most peoples eyes.

i know what you mean.
if someone asks for help on there homework, they don't understand what to do, so how do they do it them selves, not knowing what to do? sometimes, yes, the person is lazy, but still.
people usually answer to questions saying "do it yourself" because...:
a) they want points on yahoo and
b) they really believe the person must do it them selves
honestly, i find it really annoying when people say "do it your self"

I like to help in here sometimes when I can. A lot of adults probably feel that a lot of the kids asking questions in here do not want to learn anything themselves, just want someone to do it for them, which gets the student nothing. If it's a question like "What topic would be better to do my research paper on?", that's reasonable and worth answering. If it's a question like "What effect does Mars have on the solar system?", go look it up. Learn something.
Then kids now have google at their fingertips. Wikipedia is a wonderful site, a lot of them just don't want to read the information on there.
My kids won't be asking questions in here they can easily answer themselves. Heck, I may even be really mean and make them go to the library and use books for research papers. Remember those things...?
