From my experience, a lot of people like to belittle the US saying such things as their soldiers are incompetent, every single American is fat, etc. Yet, these same people have never been to the US and they say as much, even going as far as saying "I would never go to the US because my uncle's friends brother's cousin said it sucks". How could someone base a claim off a remark like that because 1) they had never been to the place, 2) they're getting their information from a distant 3rd/4th party and therefore must get all their information from such sources otherwise they're hypocrites.
