Why do some people associate "skin color" with a particular culture?

In my opinion, culture is not skin color, but attributes that are taken on through the environment. It also seems that people associate racism with national pride, although I think there is a HUGE difference.

Grouping things together and describing them in simple, general ways is how human brains organize and store information and make sense of the world. In a sense, it's how people learn.

huh? you are skirting the issue and generalizing.

people claim that if you criticize Barry, you are a racist - not true since race isn't mentioned.

people claim that if you are are against illegal aliens, you are a racist - not true since race isn't mentioned and "Mexican," most illegals, isn't a race.
