Why do some parents have to turn a simple question into a big debate?

When asking for facts, I am not looking for other's personal (sometimes crazed) opinions. What causes people to go crazy and do this? If they don't want to give a real answer, why bother to answer at all?
Yes, Jen M..that's what I was referring to. And I appreciate people like you that simply don't answer when they don't have an answer. Just like I wouldn't answer a question about breastfeeding because I know nothing about it (not yet anyways)
Chante Le Blues , I'm confused...I don't really know what you're talking about
It's provocative asking if catholic schools have different laws relating to vaccines then public schools?

I add details because of the attacks you make at me.
Actually Nunya, it is against the terms of service to "not answer" the question

I gotta agree with Doc, who is ageeing with Shell here, Rose. Who cares..do what is best for your babbies end of story.

BTW, Shell, I will call you, I promise! We've had so much going on here..I hope it's going well in HI!

Be prepared Rosie to get alot of that on here especially with the decision you have made to cease vaccinations for your kids'. Many feel we non vaccinators are Uneducated, Uninformed and have made rash, irresponsible decisions regarding the well-being of our children when really the Exact opposite is true. Parents who make this decision are for the most part in the Top 10% of the Educated Realm...you would be surprised at how many Nurses and Doctors Do Not vaccinate their own children...myself, my parents and my kids' own Doctor being among those. Stand firm in your decision and block out those who criticize!

Because it is a PUBLIC Q and A forum and they are free to say whatever they like, as long as it is not insulting and does not violate the terms of service.

ETA:
How do you determine if it is an answer or not? It says "your answer" to the left of me, so I take that to mean anything I write here is an answer.

If you feel it violates the terms of service, report it or ignore it. But either way, expect it. It kind of comes with the territory.

Hmm. Well I disagree greatly with the first poster. That was generalizing quite a bit. I am not a know it all. And I'm far from uptight. I assume you're referring to your vaccination questions??
I didn't answer them but I saw them earlier. I think when you ask a question that people feel so passionately about, you're going to get some of the crazy answers. There's no way around it. I didn't answer you're last questions, b/c I don't know any information that would have benefited you.

Some people simply think that they are superior to everyone and that they are right. Obviously, by asking a question on here one opens the door for whatever people want to say. You can't edit out all the crazies unfortunately!

First of all, it's not a simple question; it's a rather provocative and interesting one. Secondly, you're the one who turning it into a "debate" by constantly "adding details" calling people out and questioning thier replies. See, you're doing it again! If you don't like the answer you get, ignore it. Simple.

Have a nice day.
