Why do some on the left see Christianity as a greater enemy than Militant Islam?

Christians may be trying end federal funding for certain programs you like but hey at least their not blowing up your liberal cities
Honestan: the inquasition was in one country and it was over 600 years ago get over it

I am a liberal Christian and certainly don't believe that. I believe that there are radicals in both religions, and I also believe in religion and politics being very separate. I don't wear my Christianity like some banner for all to see. I just try to lead the best life I can, and be the best person I can for my family and friends. And I don't hate any other religion.

I don't see religion as an enemy, but I see any extremism/fundamentalism in religion as having negative consequences. But, of course, this makes a better talking point by pundits.

If you want to compare Islam in the 21st Century with Christianity in the Middle Ages, you might have a comparison. But one cannot realistically compare 21st Century Islam and 21st Century Christianity. There is no comparison.

Because Christians in America, american born, are U.S. citizens in which the patriot has severe restrictions on monitoring our own. A radical righty can circumvent getting caught much easier than a foreigner. And since our last plane flown into a building - IRS building - was a tea partier, then we focus on the Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh fringe.
