Why do some movies not make it into VuHD?

I've been waiting for Angels and Demons. It's been on the regular Vu channels for quite a while but has not shown up on VuHD. Newer movies (such as Star Trek) have already appeared. What's up?

I have no idea, but if I was to take a guess;

Star Trek

"the film holds a 95% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes"

Angels & Demons

"Rotten Tomatoes reported that 36% of critics gave the film positive reviews"

When checking VuHD, remember to check the 3 HD channels in the 300's as those are different from the ones in the 800's. Another reason is maybe Bell didn't get the rights to air the movie in HD. I noticed today that Bell has The Goods on in HD and there isn't even a BluRay version of that to rent anywhere.

It's very much related to what the studio will offer in HD to providers. Some have different strategies for not offering HD versions of the movie.

Maybe the studio knows Bell doesnt provide HD in 1080, only in 720.

Perhaps the studio actually cares about the quality of it's product being shown? :)

These are precisely the kinds of movies I watch on PPV. Probably not that good so I don't make the effort to go to the store and rent the Bluray and I certainly don't buy them. I'm not that concerned that they are 720p.

lol
I don't know much about movie studios, but I know that ain't the reason.
