Why do some men think it is the place of a woman to do all the cooking?

I know someone and he cooks. my granddad was a baker when he was alive
please star me and no rude comments
there is nothing wrong with a man in the kitchen. I love it
 
I think it's because their mothers did all of the cooking (in the older generations) and so they just assume that their wives will take on the same roles. Not all men are like that though. My boyfriend does all the cooking in our house!
 
i have no idea. but they will boast that the best chefs are men. if the best chefs are men then you cook all the meals. i know for sure i would not object at all.
