...salvation. What about grace alone? I know this is controversial. Sorry, but I can see both sides coming together and both being right when we divide the word properly and sharpen our swords. I for one have studied and researched this out and believe in the grace part of it, although I too admittedly have been water baptized. There are scriptures that back up both sides of this topic. I choose to believe in God's grace alone even though I think it was a great feeling to be baptized in accordance to what I believed at the time. I have to admit influence was a big part of my decision to be water baptized. Furthermore, I believe it is Jesus we are spiritually being baptized into. We are raised with Him as he was raised. John the baptist said it best when he stated that He baptizes you with water but that Jesus would baptize you by His Spirit.
