why do so many people complain?

about people using the word gay to mean stupid or something bad? but then words they recommend to use instead are words like lame, dumb, or retarded...(all words that use to mean a disability) why do they think it's ok to do that to handicapped people but not gay people?
loth but shouldn't handicapped people be more accepted too...it's just as hurtful to say things like lame and retarded to mean something bad as it is to say gay to mean something bad.
NoLa504: words like lame means physically handicapped and even some mentally handicapped people aren't stupid...being gay can hold you back in some cases like getting married in some states are bing treated equally so what do you consider that a handicap so now it's ok to call all gay people stupid?

well.... if you are in fact stupid... then that would mean you Do have some type of handicap.....something which holds you back

gay is not = to handicap .... there for the term "gay" would not accurately describe someone who was lacking in knowledge
 
you know what's really fuckin funny??? I'm Bi, and I ALWAYS say stuff like, "Thats SOOO gay!!"
 
Cause being handicapped is different then understanding what they mean and that more people then you expect are in fact gay. Being gay is becoming more accepted too which has an impact on this.
