Why do so many christians and atheist continue to argue?

I know i'm not going to change any Christians minds but i think i can knock some fence sitters off of the fence and help atheists with questions. That and the entertainment.

The Christians with their minds made up are not the targets. What is happening is that beliefs can be challenged in society in an open way that has never happened in society before.

Perhaps this is the reason why the percentage of atheists in the USA has increased from 7% in 1990 to around 17% in 2003?

The internet is having a profound effect on preventing isolated beliefs from remaining isolated. Only when beliefs are isolated can superstition thrive.
