Style is one of the last things on the list when designing a car now days. Most designers use the same software for aerodynamics so the basic shapes tend to be similar. Most use similar technology to make the cars so there are limits to shapes, sizes, and angles of the basic components. Most are trying to compete with other brands so thats another reason most look alike. You want a car that carries 6 people with so many cubic feet of cargo area that gets xx mpg and cost $xx,xxx there just are not that many options especially when you think about the other things I mentioned above.
