Why do scientists share their results and conclusions about experiments?

a) This gives scientists the opportunity to comment on the results, and add suggestions for future experimentation.

b) Scientists can test and retest the results to make sure they are accurate
 
Both are correct. Sharing results and conclusions, receiving feedback and suggestions, then vigorously testing the conclusions you derived is what the scientific method is all about.
