...Constitution? They wuvs the 2nd Amendment, sure, but Republicans don't care about the Constitution when it doesn't suit them.

The 14th Amendment, for example, grants citizenship to anyone born here, and Republicans hate that. It means some little baby of illegal immigrants is every bit a citizen that they are. Federal courts, including the Supreme Court, have always upheld that. And Republicans know they can never change that amendment because it is at the heart of the Civil Rights movement and the Civil War reconstruction. It will never be touched--and Republicans hate it!

The 16th Amendment created Federal Income tax, you know they hate that one!

The 22nd Amendment limited the presidency to two terms. You know they would have loved for Reagan to have three or four terms.

The 23rd Amendment granted two Presidential electors to DC--you know they hate that, it practically guarantees two Democratic votes.

Republicans pick and choose in the Constitution. Ha, back during the Bush administration, it was the GOP sidestepping "personal freedoms" and Constitutional rights in the name of safety, remember?
Yes, Firestorm, I'm still beating my wife. But I give yours all the lovin' she can handle. What's your point?
ND fan--not to quibble, but illegal aliens are subject to our jurisdiction when they are here, that's what makes them illegal. If they weren't subject to our jurisdiction they would have immunity. I know it's a fine legal point, but it's one that has already been made by the courts, not you and me.
