Why do questions asked that contain the number 2012 get placed in Astronomy

automatically? A question about Obama running for re-election in 2012 was placed in A&S automatically by Yahoo. That just makes it obvious that the question was auto-categorized for the Astronomy category just because the question dealt with the year 2012.

My question is, why do the Yahoo admins waste the time of the Astronomy board answerers with 2012 doomsday questions? Any question that contains the number 2012 is placed there, which is stupid, because doomsdays have nothing to do with the observation of celestial phenomena.

2012 questions belong in Mythology & Folklore.

My guess is that category suggestions depend on an algorithm that detects words within questions in each category. In other words, questions which include 2012 are moved to astronomy (cringe at the misunderstanding of astronomy vs. astrology) because that's where most people have decided to place their questions about the 2012 doomsday predictions.

The best thing to do is when a user posts a question, they should click on the option of browsing through all categories, but not many do.
