Why do ppl like to argue on basically everything?

In an intelligent argument, the ultimate goal is to find the correct answer, and not to determine who was right or wrong. Human curiosity instigates intelligent arguments. The goal is to find the right answer, and the loser in an intelligent argument should be happy with the outcome; not that he has been proved wrong, but that he has been shown the correct way.
Some people perceive the statement "you're wrong" as a threat. Survival instincts dictate fight or flight, and the human survival defense mechanism is wit, as opposed to teeth or claws.
As for me, I get along just fine with many people that I like to argue with.

People just do tend to get defensive... at times...
Getting a long isn't actually easy... especially with prejudice, hate... more prejudice and hate...
Human beings... like you and me tend to like and dislike things... so...we take sides...
Plus, life would be a little bit dull with everyone thinking the same way... variety is the spice of life...
And we are people... it's impossible for us to actually be ordinary... in fact the only thing similar in all human beings... is that we're human beings...
All we have to do... at the moment... is just tolerate a little... and prevent these arguments from flaring up... too much... involving innocent lives...
It's hard to let go sometimes... sometimes we just want to fight or our rights to actually speak our mind... instead of blindly agreeing everything...
I do get tired of these arguments, but there's nothing I can do... we just happen to be of different minds....
So why?
Because we are brought up in different situations, face different dilemmas, see in a different perspective, breathe different philosophies, understand different teachings, hear different thoughts, and tend to be different from others...
That's why...

it's something for them to do. They want to be part of the crowd. There's alot of ignorant people that think they know what their talking about but really, their just dumbasses. For example, the media controls alot of what ignorant people do and think. They see some guy in a business suit hating on Obama, then the next day someone at work say something positive about Obama (or even just say his name) and they say OBAMA"S A MARXIST DICTATOR!!!!! HE WANTS TO TAKE ARE NUCLEAR BOMBS AWAY!!!! WHATS WORLD PEACE!!!???

So, you have no positions worth arguing over?
Including no position on whether not we should argue at all?
You just go along with everyone on everything? Even when two ideas are diametrically or logically opposed? Do you really not know why people take positions on things and then fight to preserve, maintain, and defend those positions?
Can you propose how someone should go about "not taking positions?" Especially on things with yes or no answers, such as "should we spend money on thing X or not?" or "Is the world only 6,000 years old or is it much older?"

It was in the newspapers and on the TV news across our nation and no doubt in parts of the world internationally. I never heard an answer.
"instead of taking positions?" Are you advocating no one have any positions? That we believe nothing to avoid disagreements? I don't think that's realistic.

you seem like a just,honest person that likes to make peace, you should stay that way, dont let others ruin your sense of love or you'll end up just like them.. dont worry one day you will be brought to people through hard determination and eagerness for the good of humankind that agree with you on agreeing with other people...dont be so angry faced
