Why do people think that diving is such an easy sport?

(I am talking about springboard and platform diving not scuba diving)) I'm getting tired of people saying how easy diving is when they have no idea. If you think it's easy look it up on YouTube and think about it. It isn't the hardest sport like gymnastics but it isn't a walk in the park. I think football (not soccer) for some positions like linemen is the easiest because all you do is push a guy and keep him away from the quarterback. You may not agree but that is my opinion. What do you think the hardest and easiest sports are?
 
I think physically, diving is really hard. I'm a swimmer, and watching divers do all of those V-ups and stuff during dryland, I have so much more respect for them. It seems like it would be really hard to pull yourself into a tuck in midair, and then divers do all the twists.

Physically I think golf seems pretty easy, but I realize that it takes a lot of skill. I think cheerleading seems pretty easy for guys, all they have to do is lift girls. I think football linemen also have it easy. I wish I could get scholarships and a whole lot of money for pushing my girth against another guy for 30 seconds.
