why do people think nine inch nails is a complaining band?

at school today i was listening to my ipod and on of my friends asked me what i was listening to. i said NINE INCH NAILS and he was like ohh i hate THEM( that really pissed me off.lol) they just complain too much and are really emo. trent reznor is in no way an emo or a complainer. why do people have soo many misconceptions about nine inch nails?
 
people like that are morons, there just isn't a way through their thick skull. They only like a certain type of music, which is ok for them, but they want you to agree with them. They are all over the place. Tell you friend STFU and blast march of the pigs.
 
people think they complain a lot but actually they are just telling everything the way it is.... those people are idiots who can't see why the world is so fucked up... and most of them are adding to the problem...
NIN are briiliant, good songs and good talent... there should be more like them

I like NIN a lot. I have all of their albums and enjoy them very much. However, to say that Trent Reznor isn't a bit of a complainer is to bend the truth. He is musically very astute and a good songwriter, but his lyrics are very self-indulgent and portray himself as a damaged soul that nobody understands. It's easy to see why people don't like him because of this. That said, there is more to their/his music than the vocals. He is an excellent musician.
 
How Dare They call NIN a complaining emo band. Trent Reznor is a musical genious. sorry if I'm maknig NIN sound like god, but I just really love Nine Inch Nails. I'm "Too fucked up to care anymore" about what people's misconceptions about Trent.
