Why do people think low calorie diets and exercise work for obesity long term?

The people on "The Biggest Loser " have a serious, chronic ,medical condition of fat cell dysregulation called obesity.

True obesity has no cure yet. Low calorie diets and lots of exercise weaken the body. This apporach is a complete failure long term. "The Biggest Loser" people are the VICTIMS of very bad advice.

Say NO to dieting. Low calorie diets and working out hard is NOT the answer to obesity. IT NEVER WORKS LONG TERM - ( like well over a decade)

The regain is massive and leaves you fatter than before. This is a physiological drive . Leptin resistance is part of the problem.

There will be DRUGS IN THE FUTURE to treat leptin resistance.
Congratulations to the people below. You COMPLETELY MISSED THE POINT.

LEPTIN RESISTANCE. It is NOT their fault they eat and eat.

The "willpower" gene has NOT been discovered.

Again LOW CALORIE DIETS AND OVER EXERCISING ARE NOT SOLUTIONS FOR OBESITY

TRUE OBESITY IS A DISEASE.
Guys like Manueal Uribe do NOT just eatthemselves to 1,200 pounds.

SOMETHING WENT WRONG HORMONALLY.

YES obesity is a very serious chronic medical condition.

If you do not understand this , then you are JUST AS MISINFORMED as those low intellect morons Jillian Michales and BOb Harper who have NO BUSINESS treating obesity. They do NOT understand what is is, how it developed or how to cure it
The classic caloric model of obesity CANNOT explain:

WHY we have a world wide epidemic of 6 month olds

WHY we have extreme poverty, starvation and malnutrition going hand in hand with obesity in the same population?
Joe has the typical PURITANICAL view of obesity........

Low calorfie diets DO WEAKNE the body.

8,000 calories is too much for anyone including the most active people, BUT

LEPTIN RESISTANCE IS ONE OF THE REASOSN THE OBESE EAT THAT MUCH AND MORE.

THEY HAVE A MEDICAL PROBLEM

TO DENY THAT IS DENYING SCIENCE.
