Why do people still believe in the "myths" of traditional martial arts?

Utilizing chi, death touches, 1 move techniques that can end any fight. If the ever-growing mma phenomenon has proved one thing, it's that Bruce Lee was right that traditional martial arts techniques were too rigid and formalistic to be practical in "real" fight.
And I know the propaganda surrounding Lyota Machida (that has every fat guy in a gi saying "Shotokan works!") but he's not really a traditional martial artist. He's a physical phenom (much like Muhammad Ali in his day) who in addition to his traditional roots, happens to be well versed in the styles that dominate mma (wrestling, muay thai, boxing, and bjj)

I honestly dont know why they still stand by that shit i mean honestly if a guy rushes you, are you gonna be able to take stance, pull off a spinning heel kick and land it?!?! Haha for anybody who wants to argue its already a NO haha and yeah Lyoto Machida has his >>>BACKGROUND<<< in karate just like frank mir, and countless other fighters so newer martial arts put the traditional ones to shame.
