why do people relate chav culture with burberry brand in the UK?

i would love to wear burberry again . but now i cant because of this sterotype. i think it became liek that becuase the hats that they made were cheaper around about £30 to £60 so it was easy for people that cant aford other burberry stuff to get the hat. or maybe because they were sold at the market. i like there all over burberry coats and scarfs but u cant wear them anymore. but the thing that does look ok is when the burberry is a differant colour like black my sis has got a poncho like that and she doesnt stop wearing it (she has had it for 7 years and it cost around £300 pounds lol)
 
Because there was a point in time when a lot of chavs wore (usually fake) burberry items, especially burberry caps. Some still do wear them with pride.
