Why do people judge others on their musical preference?

For example I am a juggalo and they say we are:
white trash
stupid
meth heads
posers
douche bags
and a drain on society

I am none of these things
I'm not white trash
I'm fairly intellegent (going to school to be a doctor)
I have never done meth
I'm not a poser(most people wouldn't even know I was a juggalo because I don't own that much merch)
I'm a very nice person
And I would like to believe that I am help society and not hurting it
 
Every successful band will have people who listen to the music and some who hate that same music. They will trash talk it, put it down, and slander its name. But the people who listen to that music should defend it. Not with violence instead play and listen to that music to the other people and let them here the words for which they hold dear to their mind, to their heart, and oh so closely to their very own soul. If they judge for what music, they might as well judge skin and clothes too. For you should not judge one for ones lifestyle or likings but who they are. And if you don't like them, then so be it.
