Why do people immedietly judge teen mothers as reckless, irrisponsible, and slutty?

I was 15 years old when I got pregnant with my daughter. I was in a three year relationship with a guy I trusted. We were both using protection but on one occasion the condom broke.

What I want to know is why everyone thinks that all teen mothers are just sluts and are crazy party girls. It seems that online thats all people seem to think. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am the opposite of that persona.

Now, I wish I had done things a little differently, but at the end of the day when I look at my daughter Madeline, I have no regrets.

apparently these people never made mistakes. although your daughter im sure is not a mistake, but everyone, especially on here is perfect.
*he who has not sinned may cast the first stone) im sorry you are being judged. if it makes you feel any better, i was 22 and married and pregnant, and i got those same stares.
 
I don't feel that way about teenage mothers at all, except in the case of a teenage mother having more than 1 child. Then I have to wonder. However, in most of those cases I have to consider that perhaps the young mother has had a terrible home life and has looked for love in the wrong ways.
 
Cause thats what people want to believe. That their lives are perfect. I had my son at 18 and I love him to death. Im not a slut and I got my shit together.
 
because you should have been more careful when i see a teenage mother i think she must be a slut right? i mean no teen wants to have a baby so she must have been having a lot of sex before she made that one mistake i know its mean and wrong but when you see a bum you think get a job right?

i dont think that i support teen moms even though im not one and i feel like everyone makes mistakes and shouldnt be insulted or looked down because of them and as long as u taking care of your baby then thats just fine
 
People believe that of teenage mothers because frankly, you are the exception, not the rule. Not everyone is as mature as you are. Most teens just hook up, with out thinking of consequences. You just had a bad draw I suppose. You were using protection, and the worst happened. You can't be blamed for that.
