Because they do not like the series/movie AND they are sick of hearing about it every day.
I would imagine I would probably get sick of it too if I was still in high school, and that is all girls would talk about. Luckily, college girls know not to be obsessed over fiction.
For the record, I actually enjoyed the books but disliked the movie.
